I thank the Lord Almighty for the opportunity He has given me to serve at Rushere Model Primary School as Head Teacher since 4th March 2014.

Rushere Model Primary School began in 1955 through the vision of George Rutanongibwa (RIP), a great lover of civilization and education. Since that time, many leaders have carried the mantle of leadership and contributed to the growth of this great institution.

Its physical transformation has been remarkable:

  • Grass-thatched classrooms

  • Mud walls with grass roofs

  • Mud walls with iron-sheet roofs

  • Unburnt brick walls with iron sheets

  • TDMS and community-shared permanent structures (1995/96)

  • A modern brand-new school constructed during the COVID-19 period — the beautiful campus seen today

The school has maintained a strong record of academic performance, with nearly 12 years of improved PLE results.

We thank God Almighty for the favor He has granted this school to achieve steady progress since its founding up to today.
