A word of appreciation from the diocesan mission coordinator to the Lord for what He did in the transformation of people’s lives in Kazo and Nyabushozi counties then (present day Kiruhura and Kazo districts).
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
This Year 2023, marks 76 years of revival in our present Diocese called North Ankole that was curved from Ankole Diocese in 2003. The birth of revival was in June 1947. Thanks to the Lord. Tumutendereze.
What is special here in our Diocese is that people accepted Jesus Christ as their savior before accepting Christianity in other Dioceses.
As Peter states in his 1st letter 1 Peter 2:4:
“As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him.”
So when the nomadic people of this area surrendered their lives to this living and valuable stone, life was never the same from then. Women were no-longer beaten or shared, drunkenness, fighting, nakedness, moving from time to time looking for pasture and water, children not going to school, Early and forced Marriages etc. all these are no longer in place.
Mission and Evangelism ministry focuses on reaching out to people for Christ, proclaiming his word, changing their lives holistically i.e. spiritually, morally and economically so that those people serving God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deeds.
A God fearing, giving and self-sustaining Diocese.

As I conclude, I thank our Lord Bishop for his guidance, the Diocesan secretariat and christians for your generous contributions towards our projects, and more so to the clergy. And the brethren (Abaishemwe) for your tireless support to mission work.
