This department was started in 2008 under the supervision of Rev. Can. David Muramuzi as the Diocesan Health Coordinator, who was succeeded by Mr. Mugyenzi Justus and thereafter Mr. Abaho Seith up to date.
It is one of the five departments of the Diocese which is entirely and fully involved in:
Securing affordable, quality, and easily accessible health services for our Christians.
Monitoring and supervision of health-related programs and church-founded health centres.
Carrying out health sensitization messages in the Diocese and beyond.
Establishment of health facilities in the Diocese.
The mission of the Protestant Health Services in North Ankole Diocese is derived from the mission of the Church, which has the mandate, based on the imitation of Christ and His deeds, “to promote life to the full and to heal.”
These services are committed to a holistic approach in healing by treating and preventing diseases with a preferential option for the less privileged.
