Message From The Estates OFFICER

Planning is very key in human development approaches. The process of strategic planning is aimed at identifying and selecting the most appropriate strategies of utilizing Church resources to achieve specified objectives, while taking into account the internal and external environment under which we operate. Through developing, communicating and implementing effective strategies, a lot can be achieved without stress and in record time.

North Ankole Diocese has benefited in a number of ways through strategic planning. First, is the benefit derived from increased organizational effectiveness resulting from the strategic and clear direction provided by the Bishop and his working committees, which sit regularly to set and evaluate objectives and communicate to the stakeholders more effectively for better utilization of the Diocese’s resources and services.

Secondly, there is improved stakeholder motivation. More so, strategic planning also provides a framework for evaluating alternative strategies. This prepares our Church for the future; hence a focus that integrates both short-term and long-term plans.

After setting up infrastructure developments like Can. Buningwire Guest House, Bishops’ Girls S.S, Rushere Model Primary School, Can. Rujoki Kindergarten, Valley Dam to provide water for irrigation for pastures for dairy cows, a 3km tarmac road network, Pension House, and more projects such as NAP SACCO, Mission Hospital which is under construction, and provision of tractor services, the Diocese is now looking forward to human capital development.

This helps to develop necessary skills such as medical professionals for the hospital and health centres, hospitality professionals for the guest houses, and veterinary and agriculture professionals to boost agro-business and lift up household incomes for the Christians in the Diocese.Estates
