Message From The DIOCESAN EDUCATION CO-ORDINATOR
I would like to first of all welcome North Ankole Diocese Magazine 2023. The first of its kind.
It’s a privilege and a blessing for me to write an article as the 4th Diocesan education coordinator.
I congratulate the entire North Ankole Diocese and my Lord Bishop Rt. Rev Stephen Namanya, and thank God for the growth and development in Education sector.
I thank God for all the achievements so far registered ever since the diocese was established. The following have been done.
Conducting pre-PLE in primary schools which has created competition and enhanced performance among learners in Church of Uganda primary schools.
Inspecting schools which have tremendously improved performance, registered progress in both primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.
Organizing planning and management trainings of stakeholders which has greatly improved our institutions in imparting knowledge, skills and discipline to citizens.
What is needed in our institutions is quality assurance, hard work, patriotism, good interpersonal relations, opinions and good will from all of us. Academic excellence is more than just making good grades, it is maximum development of your intellectual capabilities and skills in the service of humanity. Excellence is not a singular act but a habit.
I am fully aware that 120 church schools and fully fledged primary schools, 14 secondary schools and 2 tertiary institutions are progressing steadily, though with challenges like meagre resources, insufficient classrooms and staff quarters.
At any level of education in this diocese “we are interested in transparency, skills, integrity and self-driven management and it’s our prime target to improve performance in education sector”.
We are once again grateful to North Ankole Diocese under the stewardship of the Rt. Rev Stephen and Mama Lydia Namanya, entire staff, all stake holders for the wonderful work they are doing in education sector.
We all bless education.
“we are interested in transparency, skills, integrity and self-driven management and it’s our prime target to improve performance in education sector”.
