Message From The CHAIRMAN HOUSE OF CLERGY

SEVEN GLORIOUS YEARS: GOD MADE THIS POSSIBLE

A cross the world, priesthood is perceived as a profession like any other. In my experience, this is far from the truth. Priesthood is a calling from God. It involves a lot of sacrifices, extreme devotion, selflessness, hard work, ordination, and God’s anointing. These virtues I believe are what makes being a priest stand out from other professions.

At the start of 2008, I came to North Ankole where I have served at the diocese in different capacities. Currently, I hold the position of Chairperson of House of Clergy, a role that I have been in for seven years. I also serve as the Arch Deacon of Burunga Archesconcy.

It has been a fulfilling calling. I have been a witness to a lot of good in our diocese. I thank the Diocese for availing me the honorable opportunity to be part of the growth and development of North Ankole Diocese.

I also take this opportunity to heartily thank our Bishop Rt. Rev. Stephen Namanya for his leadership, compassion, and zeal to see our diocese advance and also in the spread of God’s word.

To my fellow clergymen and women, I am eternally grateful for the tremendous efforts you have all put in. I want to implore lay readers at all levels and parishioners for the togetherness, commitment, hard work, and devotion for bringing both spiritual and general development of the Diocese.

Finally, I also thank His Excellence President Yoweri Museveni for his unconditional support to the diocese. I pray that God grants him more wisdom so that he can execute his task as the country’s leader effectively.
