HEAD OF LAITY NORTH ANKOLE DIOCESE

Message From HEAD OF LAITY NORTH ANKOLE DIOCESE

Dear brothers and sisters, I greet you in the name of the Almighty God and thank Him for the gift of life He has given to us amidst countless obstacles or difficulties encountered. But as Christians, we need to keep strong and keep knowing that God who created us, clearly understands and knows all our challenges. I advise Christians to always pray to God and be patient since prayers and requests from God occur and are answered at different intervals.

Firstly, I take this opportunity to recognize and thank our retired Bishop John Muhanguzi for the work he did in setting the foundation for our adored Diocese. Honestly speaking, what Bishop Muhanguzi did, was not for his family but for the entire Anglican church of North Ankole Diocese. In the same spirit, joyously allow me to thank the current Bishop for the tremendous developments taking place at the Diocese. Honestly, Bishop Namanya has elevated and subjected North Ankole Diocese to another level because it’s unbelievable to accept the rate at which North Ankole is developing. Wholeheartedly, I thank Bishop Namanya for setting up substantial Church projects – including but not limited to North Ankole Platinum Sacco, Bishop’s Girls Secondary School, Clergy Pension Scheme, North Ankole Mission Hospital, improving Kakyeera Ranch, ameliorating Canon Buningwire Guest House and putting much emphasis on the education sector.

It also calls upon fellow Anglicans to love their Churches and pay their tithe in time in order to keep the Church projects moving because accountability has been and still is our first priority under the leadership of Bishop Stephen Namanya.

Therefore, I call upon all Anglicans to put trust in our Lay readers, Priests, and other related Church committees.

On the other hand, I call upon all parents to raise their children knowing the Church in full percentage. This is because children who grow up in Church tend to be significant to their communities because Christian morals are embedded in them – hence living in the community virtuously.

Lastly, I thank the Government of NRM and above all President Yoweri K. Museveni for the peace and stability Ugandans enjoy today. It’s on record that some of the previous governments never cooperated well with religions to the extent of subjecting some of the Clergy in the Anglican Church to persecution and victimization, which today, no longer exists.
