Message from NSHWERE ARCHDEACONRY

Message from the Archdeacon

Welcome, reader, to this site  in this historical document. We are proud of North Ankole Diocese, our motherland, and we truly thank God for His generous provision upon us as a Diocese.

This Diocese started in 2003 with Bishop John Muhanguzi and Naomi Muhanguzi as our first Diocesan Bishop and spouse. Bishop John Muhanguzi, an ever-smiling and talented preacher, laid a firm spiritual foundation for our Diocese, and he will always be remembered.

On 2nd August 2015, Bishop Emeritus  Stephen Namanya and Lydia Namanya were consecrated to lead this great Diocese. Since Bishop Stephen took over the Diocesan pastoral staff, in less than a decade he  elevated the Diocese to another level.

Though among the youngest dioceses in the province, it has remarkably attained a respected position in development. The schools, the bank, the diocesan farm, pension houses, the guest house, the hospital, the establishment of Nshwere as a model Archdeaconry, and the tarmac road network at the hill all testify to visionary leadership and God’s faithfulness.

Bishop Alfred , the Lord has been faithful to you, for without Him nothing can be accomplished. I express heartfelt gratitude to the Lord for blessing you with uncommon developmental traits and leadership.

I also appreciate all the minds behind this historical document and the entire Editorial Committee, which by God’s grace I was chosen to chair, for putting this literature in place.

Many people carry ideas in their minds, but translating them into tangible institutions and structures on the ground is what makes a difference. Bishop Alfred Muhoozi is has turning many ideas into reality. His legacy will remain for posterity. May God continue to bless you and your entire family. Amen.

On a special note, I express sincere gratitude to the entire Christian community of Nshwere Archdeaconry for the way they have supported us as their leaders and contributed to the Archdeaconry’s development.

This is currently the youngest Archdeaconry in the Diocese, and notably, HE  Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Janet Kataaha Museveni are among the members of our congregation. We thank them for being key pillars of our Archdeaconry.

We also appreciate the President and First Lady for their exemplary family life, which has become a symbol of integrity on the continent during times when family values face many global challenges. May God reward them abundantly.

We once again thank Bishop Stephen Namanya for elevating us, Nshwere, to Archdeaconry status.

Long live our President and Maama Janet Museveni.
Long live Bishop Stephen and Maama Lydia Namanya.

Long live Bishop Alfred  and Maama Molly Muhoozi.
Long live North Ankole Diocese.
Long live our beloved country, Uganda.
