I take this great opportunity to thank God for the gift of life He has given to us regardless of other daily negative challenges we humans usually go through. As the Archdeacon of Rwemikoma Archdeaconry, I also wholeheartedly thank the Almighty God for the existence of North Ankole Diocese in relation to its responsibility under the master class leadership of Rt. Rev. Bishop Stephen Namanya.
On a special note, I thank the Pioneer Bishop of North Ankole Diocese Retired Rt. Rev. John Muhanguzi for having laid a good foundation for our beloved Diocese. On the other hand, I do hereby recognize our beloved Bishop Rt. Rev. Bishop Namanya for the various developments the Diocese has managed to achieve in his term of office. To tell the truth, North Ankole Diocese has developed beyond its expectations. In fact, Rt. Rev Stephen Namanya has been a perfect lobbyist for various projects of our Diocese hence the skyrocketing development in a short period time of this man of God’s tenure.
About Rwemikoma Archdeaconry, it is among the sixteen Archdeaconries that compose North Ankole Diocese. The Archdeaconry of Rwemikoma is made up of five parishes namely Rwemikoma, Kijuma, Migina and Bugarihe and 21 sub parish churches.
I therefore call upon all parish priests and lay readers serving in sub parishes to serve the community devotedly and saintly in keeping the fire of Anglicanism burning. My advice to Anglican community and parents is to make sure that all our children are raised in the knowledge of the church believing in one God. The way how the world is changing, if we parents fail to take a serious step in upbringing our children within the church, we may end up losing the coming generations.
Furthermore, I call upon all married couples to always pray to God and read the Bible in order to overcome family challenges like domestic violence, adultery and other related bad acts that usually annoy God.
Lastly, I thank President Museveni Yoweri and the First Lady Maama Janet Museveni for the historical leadership skills they have shown especially the freedom of worship, peace and unity Uganda as a country enjoys. I end up thanking Rwemikoma Archdeaconry Head of Laity Lay Can Alfred Banyetsire for the team work that kept Rwemikoma Archdeaconry projects developing. God’s blessings.
