Kashwa Archdeaconry is composed of five parishes namely Kashwa, Kanyanya, Rwabigyemano, Kyeitagi and Kanyabihara.
I am honored for getting this rare opportunity of writing in the Diocesan Magazine. I consider myself lucky for having worked under the leadership of Bishop Namanya Stephen, whose achievements are undoubtedly immense.
They are very numerous but let me briefly highlight on the following: establishment of Bishops’ Girls’ School – the first girls school of its kind in the Diocese; establishment of the Diocesan Guest House with gardens, conference rooms, restaurant, gazebo including the Archbishop’s wing, all self-contained; a modern model primary school whose performance is desirable; founding of North Ankole Platinum Sacco with over 3000 clients and over 2 billion savings; a network of tarmac roads around the Diocesan headquarters; a magnificent modern children’s church which is used as a kindergarten as well; a modern dairy farm with very huge valley tanks; employing lay people like accounts clerks and those who work in NATI, KBC, SACCO and other institutions; training and nurturing of both clergy and lay people in church ministry.
We are very proud of North Ankole under the leadership of Bishop Namanya Stephen.
