EMMANUEL CATHEDRAL RUSHERE DEANERY CHURCH OF UGANDA.

A word of appreciation from the Dean Emmanuel Cathedral North Ankole Diocese to the Lord for what He did in the transformation in people’s lives. 

Rushere church of Uganda started in the year 1950 as a church under trees and later sub parish in the year 1964 then 1967 became a parish , before 1983 became Archdeaconry centre then God chose Rushere church of Uganda to be the center of the Diocese in the year 2003 which was started by Bishop John Muhanguzi and maama Naume.

Then 2015 God gave us Bishop Stephen and Maama Lydia Namanya as our second Bishop .

 Emmanuel Cathedral has three parishes these are;

A) Rushere parish

B)Twemiyambi parish

C)komugina parish.

we have Fifteen sister churches ,We have 6 Full primary schools and 6 pre-primary  ,We have Deanery fellowships, We have four rental Houses as an income-generating project for our parish.

      All these projects have enabled Emmanuel Cathedral to grow Holistically. We are now starting Dean’s house.

  We appreciate and give thanks to our lord Bishop Stephen for his services which glorify God’s name. we have 5 lay readers .

 I thank God for Emmanuel cathedral as we celebrate 19th anniversary We promise to continue preaching the Gospel socially, spiritually and economically for the betterment our future.

 We pray for our Bishop as he is preparing for his retirement may the almighty God give him the strength to end well.

We pray for our Diocese to remain united in electing another Bishop may the Lord help us as we enter into post Easter season we pray that the Holy spirit strengthen us to rise with Jesus Christ, Rise from the mushrooming habit of homosexuality, Rise from darkness to shine with Christ .

Luke 24:6, He is not in the tomb all of us should not remain in the tomb of sin .

May the Almighty God reward you as we continue celebrating the life of our Diocese.
